Day 297 – Fulfillment through consumption, part II

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to see, realize, and understand the destructive and abuse reality of consuming experiences and products to fulfill my desires.

I forgive myself that I have not allowed myself to see, realize, and understand that this modern consumerist society that we live in today is based on self-interest and the fulfillment of desire, where we endlessly consume products without any consideration for the consequences that they wreck on planet earth, of which is causing the degradation of the entire planet and all life on it.  Within this, I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to be a consumer within and as myself where I consume the energy experiences of feeling fulfilled, feeling happy, feeling excited, etc, of which is generated and created through the endless and regardless consumption of energy of which is created through the conversion of my physical body to energy of which is also degrading, abusing, diminishing, and destroying my physical body.  Thus, within this, I forgive myself that I have not allowed myself to see, realize, and understand that this consumerist society that relentlessly consumes products with no consideration for the consequences and thus destroys this planet in the process is here to show me what I am already living within and as myself as the consumer that I am within.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to judge others who are in positions of extensive abuse within this economic system as ‘bad’ or ‘less than’ because they are abusers, such as those in the military or those in corporate farms, when I see, realize, and understand that they I am doing the same thing within and as myself through my endless consumption of energetic experiences which puts a demand on energy that comes from my body that abuses my body in the process, which is reflected in the animal abuses and the militaristic abuses which are all done for money in the system, just to name a couple.

I forgive myself that I have not allowed myself to redefine fulfillment within and as the point of simply fulfilling my basic needs from a practical perspective wherein what I buy is only what is necessary to cloth myself, house myself, pursue business ventures, and take care of all my basic needs; wherein fulfillment now means that I am fully filled with what I need practically to survive in this system.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that fulfillment means that I fulfill my desire and fantasies.  Within this, I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to create and hold onto fantasies and desires, within and as myself.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to define fulfillment within the point of making myself feel happy and feel content.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to define fulfillment within the point of filling holes in my self-esteem and self-image through the buying of products and experiences.

To be continued…
